Prior to starting Flooring Specialists, David owned and operated A-1 Flooring, Inc. from 2006 to 2015, where he successfully grew the business from one to over 30 employees. He handled strategic business planning, personnel management, staffing, training, marketing, and quality control. Additionally, David assessed and corrected complex problems, providing detailed instructions for technicians to follow for corrective procedures.

Before A-1, David ran The Carpet Man from 2002 to 2006, offering a variety of installation services and establishing strong client relationships. He gained organizational and communication skills while overseeing installation projects from start to finish.

From 1993 to 2002, David worked as an installer and lead technician for California Floor Covering, specializing in complex service needs. He was responsible for removing and reinstalling various materials and often took on projects assigned to other technicians.

In the early years of his career, David apprenticed at Pinnell’s Flooring and Artistic Floors, where he gained hands-on experience and learned multiple installation methods. His dedication and self-motivated personality earned him rapid advancement as an apprentice.
